"When we know better, we do better"

This quote from Maya Angelou has always served me well when I've made mistakes. I was doing the best I could at the time with the information I had. I learned more so I changed my ways and did better.

Why am I sharing this? Well, I've seen and heard a number of people now seeing the light in regard to the misuse and overuse of essential oils. People are starting to realise that their friend selling oils, or a practitioner in another modality may not always be fully aware of the risks associated with essential oil usage.

Firstly, if you’ve misused your oils, forgive yourself.

We don’t have all the answers, and most of us are doing the best we can. Use it as a warning and a learning experience.

Secondly, don’t blindly accept advice from people especially those online or those without appropriate qualifications and training. Check the qualifications of the people handing out the advice, and check whether there is a conflict of interest in the advice as well.
